Human with AI
Human with AI: Why the sales job isn't going away, it's being reinvented.
It is not about "Human or AI" but "Human with AI"
I still remember exactly when I first heard about an AI that could make phone calls on its own. No template, no human in the background—just calling, speaking, and convincing.
And I thought to myself:
"Okay. Now things are getting serious. If AI can already make calls... will I even be needed anymore?"
To be honest, that thought stayed with me.
The invisible revolution
If we take a closer look, we notice: AI has been part of our daily lives for a long time. It helps us—quietly—with every Google search, every navigation, and every automatic sorting of our emails. But now, something new is happening:
AI is taking over tasks that were previously seen as deeply human:
-Researching customers
-Having conversations
-Writing emails
-Preparing decisions
The world is changing with incredible speed. The question is no longer "if" but how we deal with it.
Fear or a new beginning?
I admit it openly: I had these thoughts too: "What if machines sell better than I do?" "What if my job is just... gone soon?"
But then I realized: AI can handle data. AI can handle speed. AI can handle automation.
But: AI cannot build a real relationship. AI cannot create trust. AI has no passion for helping people. And those are exactly the things that have made me successful in sales for the last 10 years.
What sales is really about
Sales is not a push of a button. Sales is not a script. Sales is not a statistic.
Sales is:
-🤝 Understanding people on equal footing
-🧠 Recognizing problems and solving them smartly
-🗣️ Communicating arguments with emotion
-💬 Letting trust grow
And that, dear community, is something AI cannot do. It can help me—but it cannot replace me.
From fear to excitement
I have made a decision for myself:
-📌 I am not fighting against AI; I am working with it.
-📌 I want to understand it instead of ignoring it.
-📌 I want to use it instead of fearing it.
And that is why I am starting my own personal transformation: From a traditional sales professional to a real AI professional in sales. And the best part: I have 0 programming skills—and that is exactly what makes it exciting.
Why AI is a game changer in sales specifically
Today, we spend up to 40% of our time in sales on:
-Copy & paste
-Research
-CRM maintenance
-Repetitive tasks
These are all necessary activities, but they do not bring in direct revenue. Now comes the game changer: AI takes over the chores; we focus on the highlights.
More time for:
-real conversations
-new customers
-relationship building
-strategic deals
Less time for:
-data junk
-searching for information
-Excel busywork
Sounds good, right?
Final thought

How the sales job is not going away—but is just being reinvented.
